Heritage Academy is a visionary academic institution offering a myriad of options designed specifically for each student’s requirements, including an IB Career Program, a South Carolina Seal of Biliteracy Diploma, a dual enrollment with the University of South Carolina-Beaufort for college credits, as well as a personalized concierge enrichment program designed for each student’s unique demands. Heritage Academy offers flexible scheduling coupled with eminent custom-made academic programs crafted to meet each student’s aspirations and dreams. In addition to a rigorous academic course selection, Heritage Academy is proud to announce the introduction of an extensive offering of elective classes for full academic credit.
The new selection of elective courses includes Robotics, Coding/Game Design, Bible-based course, Teacher Cadet, and Sign Language. Heritage Academy’s flexible schedule provides a dynamic bell schedule (detailed below) whereby students can take anywhere from 3 to 5 blocks of classes per semester. The schedule is designed to accommodate every student’s particular needs and interests; some students may opt to begin at 7:40am and complete their academic day at 12:05pm, while others may choose to begin their school day at 9:10am and end at 3:00pm, and yet some may choose to select courses that would require a 7:40am to 3:00pm school day schedule. Blocks 4 and 5 are optional for all students, keeping in mind that high school students will need a total of 21 academic credits to graduate.
Heritage Academy prides itself on our rigorous academic selection of courses coupled with the utmost flexibility in schedule to accommodate every student’s needs and passions. We are also proud of our strength in foreign languages and our ability to offer a Seal of Biliteracy Diploma upon graduation, while Middle Schoolers are not required to take a foreign language, we strongly encourage it.
